2023 Camp Overview

Quest Adventure Camp

We offer a fun, 7-week inclusive camp experience for Campers of ALL abilities. We provide the necessary adaptations to meet the specific needs of each individual. Our camps will operate on a staff to Camper ratio of 1 to 3, with Campers divided into age and ability appropriate groups. Activities are adapted, based on ability levels, to maximize enjoyment and help each Camper challenge and improve their individual potential. Those who require one-on-one support are welcome to participate with the assistance of their own Personal Aide(Personal Aides must be provided by the family, Quest does not offer 1 on 1 support).

Weekly Field Trips

All campers will have an opportunity to take an adventure! We will have one day each week, dedicated to a different field trip. These field trips will be tied to the weekly theme of the Summer Camp. Camp fees are inclusive of transportation and any Field Trip entry fees.

Before & After Care Program

We understand that regular camp hours do not always fit well with every family’s schedule. To help families organize their time, we offer before and after care to provide a safe place for our Campers outside of scheduled camp hours. Campers are given the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities including outdoor play as well as activities indoors out of the sun. Campers are able to choose from a variety of non-directed fun activities during Before and After Care, as well as Camp Counselor guided activities such as: story-telling, art, science activities, construction with recycled materials, activities in the gym or outdoors and quiet time.

Before Care is provided from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and After Care from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm each day of Camp. Fees are $30 per day for before care and $40 per day for after care.

Please Note: Before and After times for Summer Camp are not the same as Before and After times for Calgary Quest School. Campers should not arrive earlier than 7:30 am and must be picked up by 5:30 pm.

Staff

Our enthusiastic, creative and caring staff consists of Calgary Quest School Instructional Assistants and current university students studying in related fields (teaching, disability studies, community rehabilitation, kinesiology, psychology, sociology, medicine), or people with experience working with children with disabilities.
