Campers may attend as many weeks as they like- some join us for the whole summer, others pick and choose weeks they will particularly enjoy.

**Please note that field trips listed below are tentative, and may be subject to change.**

Get ready to get dirty! Explore the great outdoors and learn how to safely navigate our natural world. Campers will take nature walks, make art from materials found in our environment, learn about the Canadian wilderness and practice safe camping skills.

Adventure #1: Kayaking in Canmore. We have partnered with Rocky Mountain Adaptive, a Canmore based non-profit organization providing adaptive outdoor adventures to individuals with disabilities. Please note that camp hours will be extended on this field trip day to accommodate travel time- details TBD.

Feel the need for speed! Campers will explore all types of locomotion, from stage coaches to rocket ships. Construct paper airplanes, learn how parachutes work, and set off bottle rockets. Create a car wash in your classroom, check out a real fire truck and police car, and get moving on a bike or scooter.

Adventure #2: Iron Horse Park. A miniature train will take us on a tour through the park, taking us back in time to Western Canada in the pioneer days, lead by the volunteers of the Alberta Model Engineering Society.

Savour the summer! Experience the joy of cooking, learning the fundamentals of food preparation and kitchen safety. Campers will prepare delicious foods each day, practicing old favourites and stepping outside their comfort zones with something new. We’ll take our taste buds on a culinary journey by sampling foods from around the world, exploring food as a gateway to culture and expression.
